MacWhisper – AI Transcription for Mac

MacWhisper is an easy-to-use app for Mac that gives you fast and accurate audio transcription powered by OpenAI’s state-of-the-art Whisper technology. You can either drag and drop audio files or record directly into the app to get near real-time text transcriptions. It currently supports over 100 languages and accepts formats like MP3 and M4A. The app offers a completely free version using the smaller AI models, while the pro version gives you access to a more powerful transcription model.

To handle the transcription models, MacWhisper requires at least 8GB of RAM and runs best on M1/M2/M3 Macs. Older Intel Macs can work but may have performance issues.
